Al Schere started playing music with the Folk music greats in New York in the 70's and 80's .A Singer Song writer with The Fast Folk Musical Magazine group, Al was a regular MC on Friday nights for over a decade at the Speak Easy in Greenwich Village, New York.  In the 80's he participated regularly at The Hurdy Gurty Folk Music Club out of New Jersey and was an occasional host at The Uptown Coffee House near Mt. Vernon, New York.  Als is no stranger to the Folk scene and has worked closely with the likes of Jack Hardy, Erik Frandsen, Rod MacDonald, David Massengill, Richard Shindell, Julie Gold, Susanne Vega,  Shawn Colvin, John Gorka, Cliff Everhart and Frank Tedesso to name a few.
